THE KNIGHTS OF ST. ANDREW

Putting our principles to work.

The Knights of St. Andrew (KSA) is a service organization within the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. Its active members are 32° Scottish Rite Masons who volunteer their time and talents in support of the Valley and the wider community.

Knights Commander of the Court of Honour (KCCH) and 33° Scottish Rite Masons may participate as honorary members, but the local Knights' leadership and voting responsibilities remain with active members.

In Juneau, the Knights bring the spirit of fellowship to practical tasks: helping welcome guests, supporting Scottish Rite Reunions, and lending a hand wherever service is needed.

Scottish Rite Reunions

Assisting with hospitality, ushering, and the practical needs of degree events.

Preserving Masonic Heritage

Caring for the Masonic section of Douglas Cemetery and honoring those who came before us.

Serving Juneau

Past efforts have included ringing bells for the Salvation Army and assisting the Juneau Pipe Band with Robbie Burns Night events.

OUR LOCAL CHARACTER

Tradition with a Juneau identity.

Each Knights of St. Andrew chapter develops its own officer titles, dress, and service traditions. In Juneau, the presiding officer is known as the Chieftain, and the Knights incorporate the Universal Masonic Tartan into their attire.

Our distinctive emblem is a stylized Scottish Rite double-headed eagle designed by founding member Michael Franks, reflecting both the chapter's fraternal identity and its connection to the Scottish Rite.
